There are two main reasons that your Author Central data may be out of date:
Unlike our integration with KDP, Book Report can only grab your latest numbers when a browser with the extension installed is running on your computer. If you leave such a browser open on your computer, it should update your data every hour.
- Book Report can only update your data for the accounts you are logged into. When you visit authorcentral.amazon.com, whichever account you're logged into is the only one we can update. If you have multiple Author Central accounts for a single marketplace, you will need to manually switch between them to get all your data loaded.
You can find the crawl status for your connected accounts on the Settings tab. It will say when each account was last updated, and which accounts are currently updating. You can also manually trigger a crawl by clicking the "Refresh My Data" button.
We hope to make the Author Central integration as seemless as the KDP integration at some point in the future. That will require some cooperation by Author Central though, so we can't make any promises about when or if it will happen.
One final tip, if nothing else is working: Disabling and re-enabling the browser extension restarts the whole process. This is very rarely necessary, but it can do the trick sometimes.
