Book Report gains access to your sales data through a browser extension. The extension is available for both Chrome and Firefox, but if you're reading this then you probably use something else as your primary browser. Do not despair!
If you're trying to use Book Report on a mobile browser, please follow this guide.
You Don't Need to Switch Your Primary Browser
The Book Report browser extension does not need to be constantly running in order for Book Report to function properly. Checking in on a supported browser once per week is enough to keep Book Report running smoothly on whichever browser you prefer.
So what can you do?
- Install Google Chrome or Firefox on your desktop or laptop.
- In that browser, visit app.getbookreport.com and log in.
- Click the link it gives you to install the browser extension.
Once you have the browser extension installed, you'll need to follow these steps once per week:
- In the supported browser, log into Book Report.
- In the supported browser, log into KDP.
This process will sync your temporary KDP access tokens back to our servers regularly enough that you won't see an interruption in access to your latest sales numbers. You can quit the unwanted browser after performing these steps without issue.
Your Primary Browser
After following the steps above, you can visit app.getbookreport.com in any browser to see your latest sales numbers. Safari, Internet Explorer, mobile browsers -- they are all supported for viewing your data.
Legacy System
Book Report used to have a different mechanism to load data into the system, and that mechanism is still supported. If you're comfortable using a bookmarklet, and you understand that this means you won't have access to your latest numbers on the go, you can visit this page to install our bookmarklet. It works in every browser.
