Book Report now supports:
- Draft2Digital
- Google Play Books
- Kobo Writing Life
- Barnes & Noble Press
- ACX
- Apple Books
- Findaway Voices
- IngramSpark
This has been one of our most-requested features of all time, and it is now available to all users. You can now connect these accounts to Book Report.
Data Integration - Books
How does Book Report manage books published via multiple distributors? Quite smoothly!
- Books with identical titles are combined automatically.
- If your books have slightly different titles, you can combine them manually on the Books tab in three easy steps:
- First, find the book you'd like to combine.
- Second, click the "Combine this book with..." button.
- Third, select the book you'd like to combine this book with.
- Book Report is smart about attributes when two books are combined. Combining two books will result in them being a single row on the table, or a single slice of the pie chart, but sales for that book will still be correctly categorized by distributor or format.
Data Integration - Transactions
Transactions from all these places have been integrated with our existing transaction attributes, and we’ve added a couple new ones.
- New! Distributor. This new attribute can be used to compare your earnings from Draft2Digital, Google Play Books, Kobo Writing Life, Barnes & Noble Press, ACX, and the rest!
-
New! Country. Ever wondered how many different countries you've sold books in? You can now find out using Book Report!
- Draft2Digital, Google Play Books, Kobo Writing Life, Apple Books, IngramSpark, and Findaway Voices specify which country each transaction occurred in.
- Barnes & Noble Press sales do not specify their country of origin. They will show up as "Not set".
- For KDP and ACX transactions, the country attribute is based on the marketplace.
-
Marketplace. This attribute adds Google Play Books, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Audible, and all of the marketplaces Draft2Digital and Findaway Voices support, to go alongside the Amazon marketplaces.
- Transaction Type. This attribute describes the type of transaction where the royalty was earned, or the unit was purchased.
- For Draft2Digital, each transaction comes labelled with a "Sales Model", which describes the type of transaction: "Wholesale", "Subscription", "One Copy, One User", "Cost Per Checkout", and "Agency".
- For Google Play, each transaction is labelled either "Sale", "Pre Order", or "Promo Code".
- For Kobo Writing Life, each transaction is labelled either "Kobo Sale" or "Kobo Subscription".
- For Barnes & Noble Press, each transaction is labelled "Barnes & Noble Sale", "Barnes & Noble Free", or "Barnes & Noble Coupon".
- For ACX, transactions are ALC, ALOP, or AL.
- For Apple Books, transactions are "Apple - Sale", "Apple - Free", and "Apple - Pre Order"
- For Findaway Voices the "Sales Type" is used, and transactions can be Library, Library-Pay Per Use, Pool, Retail, Subscription-Combined Portions, Subscription-Credit Based, Subscription-Supplemental Credit, Subscription-Unlimited.
- IngramSpark transactions are simply labelled "IngramSpark".
- For Kindle Direct Publishing, each transaction comes with labels such as "Standard", "Pre Order", "KENP Read", or "Kindle Countdown Deals".

Precise Data Sources
Book Report imports the highest-quality data source from each distributor. Some distributors provide high-quality data throughout the month, whereas others only provide it after the month is complete.
Sources that are updated throughout the month:
- Kindle Direct Publishing
- Barnes & Noble Press
- Google Play Books
Sources that are updated after the month completes:
- Kobo Writing Life
- Draft2Digital
- Apple Books
- ACX
- Findaway Voices
- IngramSpark
Many of the distributors provide multiple options for viewing and downloading your sales data, and they don't always match up. If you're trying to confirm that data within Book Report accurately matches the data from a distributor, you need to compare it to the correct data source. Here are the details of where, precisely, Book Report sources its data from each distributor:
- Findaway Voices: Royalty Report Invoices
- IngramSpark: Compensation Report
- Apple Books: Monthly Payment and Financial Reports
- ACX: Earning Statements Royalty Report
- Barnes & Noble Press: Sales by Month
- Kobo Writing Life: Invoice History
- Google Play Books: Google Play Sales Transaction Report
- Draft2Digital: Raw Sales Data statements, for each format
- Kindle Direct Publishing: Royalty Estimator for dates since 2018; Prior Months' Royalties for earlier data
